Synopsis of your work
I help young people from Nairobi’s underserved communities achieve their greatest potential. I am one of the founding leaders of Canada Mathare Education Trust; a charitable organization whose mission is to advance education in Kenya by providing scholarships to needy but bright students from Mathare Slums, Nairobi, and to raise awareness in Canada about education and poverty in urban Kenya. In addition, I am also the founder and lead facilitator for PaaMoja, an initiative that equips youth in underserved communities in Nairobi with life skills, resources, and most significantly, the opportunity to design and execute programs that transform their communities.

My facilitator experience has seen me engaged as a facilitator with JUMP! Foundation: an international social enterprise based in East Asia that envisions a world where young people fulfill their true potential as individuals, community leaders and global citizens. He recently graduated with a Diploma in Social Innovation Management from UPEACE.

Relationship with Vizazi

Why Vizazi?
Our mission is to help youth become a better version of themselves by providing opportunities, tools and the right role models to guide them in their journeys. We believe Vizazi has not only the best interest of the youth, but also skills and experience in what they do especially in areas around psychosocial wellness and support.

What do you hope to aspire in this collaboration?
I hope to learn and share experiences, skills and resources with each other. A win-win situation where we all achieve our set goals, add value to each other as well as continue becoming better social innovators in the process.
